wow! what a week! i can't believe it's wednesday. i took a vacation day monday beacuse the 'floor people' were here. i had a hardwood floor installed in my bedroom. i love it! so beautiful. cherry. it looks so nice i don't want to put anything it there. i'll take a few pics soon - the little cottage is coming along.
well, i think that's all for now. i'm going to hit the hay..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Oh I am sooo wanting to put hardwood floors in my home! I know it will look beautiful....I just am afraid it will not be as warm (temperature wise) as it usually is in here with the carpet. Have you found that to be true?
I too am a Canon girl! I have the Digital Rebel 300 right now. Looking to upgrade to the next level tho. Any suggestions? On what you would move into for studio, wedding and outdoor (travel) kind of photography?...Looking to spend around 1200.-2000 possibly. Also what is your take on Gary Fong's lightsphere? Is it worthwhile? Someone said he is working on another one...and they are waiting for that one....

I LOVE my floors! It's not cold at all. my dog slides around - hillarious! - so i put some rugs down to help him. the cherry is gorgeous - it's not stained, it's cherry wood! it was so expensive that i cna on ly do the one room right now. (about 50 more weddings and i can do the rest of the house!)
we started with the 300D - now we shoot with Canon 20D's. i am very happy with them. i am thinking about the mark ii, but i carry 2 cameras when i shoot a wedding, and i like them to be identical. the mark ii is really different. maybe next year. i kind of think it's the photographer, not always the equipment.
we use gary's lspj2. i think that's the newest one. it's a little tough to get on the flash (580ex) - i mean it fits really tight - but it does a good job. i shot this party with it: http://www.bellissimaphoto.com/proofs/partyforweb/final%20party/index.html
we tend to get all the new stuff - so if he comes out with a new one, we'll take a look and probably pick one up.
we are a team of 2 photographers, so when i say 'we' that's what i mean. we'er pretty careful when we spend, since there are 2 of us, and have to buy 2 of everything! and we usually each carry a backup. probably overkill, but makes brides feel better.
