At my engineering job, we have been working a patent for years, and it was granted!!

Kind of funny. I think we each get a dollar, as the company owns the patent.  it's cool to see my name on there.  the other people listed, Cliff, is my boss, and is the smartest person i know, and you might remember jill from previous posts.  she's is an awesome metallurgist and the best mom!  The patent is for a titanium seat rail for a bicycle seat.  click HERE or the  the BIG WORD below to see the patent!

i love this shot of Megan's ring...

We put it on one of those spiny-looking things from some kind of tree.  Brenda would know the name of it, but i can't remember.  I saved the thing, but now i can't find it.  Anyway, I thought this was a particularly nice shot.  I set the little spiny thing on a bench and the ring on top.   You never want to try this in bright sun, so create some shade - especially for very sparkly rings like this one!  Canon 100mm lens, 1/60s at f/5, hand held.

what a busy couple of months!  this is the first weekend since august that we didn't do any shooting!  i did, however, work on a lot of 'stuff'...

WOW!  It was kind of chilly the day we did their eSession, but Megan and Michael are smokin' hot! They were so fun and full of ideas.  We ran all around Pitt, so there are tons of proofs from this eSession.  One thing I can say about all our couples is that I think it's awesome that they not only love each other, but that you can really see that they are IN love.  These two are no exception.

I also worked on our website quite a bit...  just kind of updating the colors and links.  I try to keep things looking fresh by switching out pictures, but our new look is spreading to more of our site.

Then with that extra hour today, the Bambinos were updated, too!  You have to see how precious these little ones are...

and little Carter was only 6 days old!  I just met him on Thursday!  He's a tiny bundle, and such beautiful eyes!

And I finished up a BABY ALBUM for Sharon and Frank!  My sister, Laura, has known Sharon for years, and when she was invited to Sharon's baby shower, she asked if I could put a picture package together.  So, Laura got Sharon and Frank a Maternity Session, announcements and a Bambino Session that included a album.  I just love how it came out!  Gregory's announcement is featured on our Bambino page, so he might look familiar.  Check out his little book HERE, or just click the picture!. 

I think Melissa could be a model for Ann Taylor...  not ONLY is she gorgeous, she has a fabulous sense of style about her!

We had so much fun with Melissa and Phil during their eSession!  We went to a park last weekend, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.  The sky was clear, the air was crisp, and the leaves, as you can see were quite colorful.  The leaves seem to be a little late this year - good for us!

What a great time we had yesterday with Tara and Paul!  They live in South Carolina, and were married at the Longvue Club in Pittsburgh.  Can you see Tara and Paul just below this spectacular tree?  You've got to see the Moving Pictures - just TOO FUN!  *CLICK HERE* to enjoy!

The flowers were done by Hearts & Flowers floral design studio in Allison Park, PA.  SO beautiful with little candles in the branches of the center pieces.  I can't find a website, but the phone number is 724.444.8828.  Tara had feathers in her bouquet  - gorgeous!

They also had a fabulous swing band!  We actaully recommended Dr.Zoot, so we were really happy to see them playing!

i just love the look of cross processing.

it's a technique used in film photography, where the film is processed in the wrong chemicals.  it makes colors go wacky.  it's a bit unpredictable.  you can get the same effect in digital photography, and you can intensify and dodge and burn it in.  my sister calls it 'funking out a shot'.  when i came across this shot, i thought, "gotta funk that out!"   

as shot, it just is another picture, but cross processed, i LOVE it!  what do you think?

OH !  and this is another one!

i have never really worn mascara, because i can feel it on my eye lashes.  it's irritating, and my eye lashes hit the lenses on my sunglasses and safety glasses, and my camera eye piece.  i find myself touching my eyes a lot because they are irritated, and it flakes off  and rubs off and looks terrible. 

well, i found one that seems to be different and it will make your eye lashes like a mile long without clumping and flaking!  it's max factor's Lash Perfection Mascara.  The brush is really different!  And of course they have a waterproof version.  This stuff is great!

Amy and Bill love Jimmy Buffett! 

What a beautiful day for a wedding.  We had such a great time with Amy and Bill and their families.  Amy has a sister named April, and so do I !  (i don't know many people named april.)  and my other sister, Laura, is a jewelry designer, and she did all the jewelry for Amy and her wedding party. 

Amy and Bill were married on the 5 year anniversary of their first date.  We had a blast with these guys at their eSession, and we just KNEW this wedding celebration would be wonderful.  We were right!  Check out their Moving Pictures! Just CLICK HERE! (of course i used a jimmy buffett song!)

it was really hard to choose my favorites - this couple is gorgeous, and i just loved this wedding!  Here are a few of my faves from the day!

yesterday i spent about 7 hours becoming certified in adult CPR/AED and first aid.

the red cross is awesome!  it was a great class, and i recommed it to anyone who is intereseted in learing what to do in an emergency.  i'm surprised that more people don't know this stuff!  i had never had any kind of trainging or class like this, so it was a lot to learn, and soooooo worth it!  i now will carry a barrier and gloves with me.  i think a lot of times NOT having the right tools will keep people from helping.

Jessica and Dean had a fabulous celebration!  They had a dove release and i just love this shot of the dove coming out of his box!  The groomsmen were just too cool, and we had a great time with Jessica and Dean!
