freedom of RELIGION!
i'm not actually FROM pittsburgh, but i've been here for about 20 years - so i'm now 'from the 'burgh'... sunday there is a very important game - practially a holy day of obligation. people who are not from pittsburgh, or who have not spent time here may not understand, but steeler football is a RELIGION. when big ben was in his motorcycle accident, people tailgated in the parking lot outside of his hospital room ... the city shuts down during a game and when they became super bowl champs it was practally a new holiday.
since i do not have a tv, i have to listen to the games on the radio - it's just not the same. i'm not a huge fan, but i do cheer the steelers. the Rooneys (the owners) are a great family, and the moral code of the steelers seems to transcend the NFL - something other teams don't seem to understand. it's all part of the religion.
i am going to watch the game this weekend. i think the patriots are a great team - they are undefeated after all, so how can that be disputed. BUT they are also cheaters. plain and simple. and no one likes a cheater. i've decided to find a tv and watch this game. i think the steelers will be victorious. (even if they are 14 point underdogs - are you kidding???? 14 points!!!!!! wow. i wish i could fly to vegas for this one.)
we've photographed a lot of terrible towels this year - at weddings - in formal photographs. if you don't understand, i can't explain... GO STEELERS!!!
~ciao for now~
