i am not one of those people... you know - one of those people who always looks totally put together and has a signature style.  i do know people like that, and i swear that our brides and GROOMS are all about style - they always look so great!!  so i am making an effort....

first, i am a What Not to Wear junky.  i LOVE this show!!  and as you know, i don't have a t.v.  here's the secret...  you can watch it right online!  i  have an entire season on my iPod - and now i watch each week when it goes online. 

here's another website that i'm visiting a lot lately... totalbeauty.com - very cool.  they have all kinds of reviews and articles.  you can rate your favorite stuff and there are tips and new styles.  i'm such a 'classic' style person, i have a hard time trying trends.  but, my sister is very current, so i dip into her stuff every once in a while. 

i'm so lost when it comes to this stuff!  i'm trying, though.  stacey and clinton say i need straight pants and fitted jackets, so i've been looking.  it takes a lot of trying on - which i HATE.  i have heard some nice comments at work, so maybe i'm doing something right.  now if only i didn't have to wear steel-toed shoes at work... 

i've been eating out a bit lately.  i have to say that i prefer to eat at home, but i don't really have a well-functioning kitchen.  i've been planning the 're-model' for years and after getting my house back together after plastering, painting and floors in the rest of the house, the idea of ripping up another room is just gut wrenching!  not to metion that i need to save up for this big do-over.  my house is tiny and very old, crooked and unusual, and the kitchen is unusually large for such a small house and there is a ton of potential.  i want a kitchen that coordinates with it's cottage style.  i also want great lighting and new appliances and more than just a spruce up.  so it will have to wait a while longer, as it seems to keep getting more and more costly.  i go back and forth on keeping as much as i can (to cut cost) versus ripping out the whole thing and starting over (and just be done with it).  so... until i decide, i'll just try to keep saving and thinking and eating OUT!

lately, we've been heading over to the Moon Twp. HOSS'S (here's the map).  This is just a nice family restaraunt.  the food is good, and the salad bar is always fresh, full and has lots of variety.  the thing about this place is the SERVICE!! it is absolutely AMAZING.  the first time i went i thought it was a fluke!!  everyone was sooooooooo nice!  then we went again, and again, everyone was soooooooooooo nice!!  i still thought it was a fluke.  so we went again - each time we went on a different day at a different time and this place is AMAZING!  the PEOPLE ARE OUTSTANDING!  i usually have the salad bar because there is so much on it and everything is great - but i have to say that their burger & fries are unreal!  i LOVE potatos and consider myself to be an expert on french fries - the fries are some of the best, hands down.  i prefer them to McDondald's - and that is saying a LOT.  AND they have all kinds of drinks!!!  i drink diet soda pop, and usually the chices are limited to 1.  at hoss's, i get diet dr. pepper.  no kidding - they have like 4 or 5 CHOICES!  if you haven't been here, or if you haven't been here in a while, take your time - the greeter will help you decide - they are so friendly.

anyway, if you are looking for a really nice place - kind of 'old school' - and not too expensive, you can get a great steak or chicken (or burger) with the MOST AMAZING SERVICE - EVER at Hoss's.  (by the way the bathrooms are immaculate - just another sign of a well-run business).  i really can't say enough about this particular place.  now, i haven't been to the other locations, but the one in MOON is just incredible.  i think everyone there should get a raise or at least a BIG Christmas bonus.  i always leave a fat tip - so if you go, do the same - these people earn it!
