did you ever get something stuck in your head and you just can't let it go? well, if you do chances are, it's on youTube... then you can share it with your friends and they can get it stuck in their head's too!

ciao for now!did you ever get something stuck in your head and you just can't let it go? well, if you do chances are, it's on youTube... then you can share it with your friends and they can get it stuck in their head's too!

ciao for now!i hope you had a chance to watch the special on abc news with Randy Pausch. the thing that kept surfacing in my mind - and has ever since i heard about Randy - is that the only real difference between him and the 'rest of us', is that his doctors continue to remind him that his days are numbered. well, so are everyone else's! no one lives for ever. you could get into your car tomorrow and get hit by a train.
what a wonderful reminder to choose what to do as if today is all you get - because no one is promised a tomorrow.
here's the book. i bought 2 copies. one for me and one to share.
and here is the AUDIO book.
if you have an iPod, you can download the audio book, and if you need iTunes get it here! i already downloaded my copy for my iPod, but i LOVE a book with paper pages.
if you want an ipod, you can get one at the store over there >>>> all the store's proceeds go to charity (right now it's Pittsburgh Animal Friends.)
and for those of you who are wondering... the tv has made it back into my house. my sister is hanging out with me, and she wanted tv. so she put one in her room. it's funny... having no tv for so long, i hardly watch it all. i do enjoy the home improvement shows and dicovery, and i watched this interview, but i still think the entertainment value of tv is the pits.
ciao for now!
i've been following randy pausch for quite some time now, and i've posted a few links and lectures on my blog that you may have checked out yourself. well, this morning on my way to work, i heard that abc news will be airing a special that you may want to catch...
i hope i'm not too late with the info and i hope you can watch! i'd love to know what you think.
ciao for now...

(and our website will be getting a little spruce up!) but, in the mean time, here is some news! this week i leave for a HUGE tradeshow in Las Vegas. It's one of the largest for photographers and I'm pretty sure the largest for Wedding and Portrait photographers. It's the WPPI Convention and Tradeshow.
AND when i get back, I'll have all the LATEST scoop on Album Options! There are a quite a few new styles and great companies and just all around fantastic choices! I will be sure to take some photos and give you some reviews of the new stuff we'll have available for wedding albums and baby albums and our signature guestbooks!
I just got an email from the Album Competition people regarding an album I designed for a California photographer. It has gone on to the final judging! I'm really excited to see how it does, and I'll be watching the judging on Saturday. I'll let you know when I get the result, and I'll post it here along with an announcement for photographers!
In the mean time, I revised a couple of albums for clients and so I thought I'd post them here. What gorgeous Brides and Grooms! No, not models... real weddings from Bellissima! Just click the images below to see the complete albums...

CAT DIARY
Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed
hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the
rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to
keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of
escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their
feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it
clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made
condescending comments about what a "Good little hunter" I am. Bastards!
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was
placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However,
I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my
confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this
means, and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my
tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try
this again tomorrow - but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.
The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and
seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The
bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the
guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My
captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he
is safe.
For now . . .
I think you will like this.... turn up your speakers!
Yes! I am back from Napa Valley and I'm diligently working on lots of books right now, so enjoy this little clip and I'll post a few things as soon as I can... I have to think up a new contest!
i released Suzanne and Shawn's album preview a few weeks ago, and i thought i'd post it here, too. this wedding was so much fun! with a tropical theme at the pittsburgh airport marmiott, gary baranowski did an AMAZING job with the flowers. the album embellishments were colored from tones in the flowers and the cake inspired their shape. (i think this is the prettiest cake i have ever seen.)
just click here or on the their names to see their album! (adjust your speakers)

i had such a great time with baby Gavin and his family last week... I've been editing photos - i took hundreds! Gavin has neuroblastoma, but is doing well. HERE is Gavin's website. (i also linked all the photos to his website)he was home for 11 straight days when i went to visit - which is a record since his diagnosis. he is so happy and precious - he's 8 months old and starting to crawl. it's so adorable how he scooches himself backward. his big sister, Madison, is a delight! she is full of energy and just loves gavin.
this is my favorite image from the day. Madison turned to kiss Gavin just as i leaned in. i think there is a lot of emotion in this image. i love Gavin's fingers caught in Maddy's hair and the look on his face is so innocent. it was just a 'real moment'.
here is a 'sneak peek' of a few more of my favorite images from the day... this beautiful family has personality PLUS! i still need to add my 'magic' to these, but i wanted to get them posted before i leave for the weekend. i'll be creating an album for them as soon as i finish editing and processing their photos, and i'll post it here when it's ready.
thanks, guys! i had a great time!
and this is one of the few photos of me that exists. my friends, Bruce and Cora were also along on this adventure. Bruce got some really great shots himself and Cora is who told us about Gavin. Bruce took this photo of my taking a photo of Gavin.
